  Freedom from Compulsive Eating Group
More than a support group, this treatment group provides a non-dieting non-deprivational approach to your relationship with food.

Are you are tired of the diet binge-diet cycle?

Do you hate your body and weight?

Are you tired of the scale determining whether you feel good or bad about yourself?

Are you feeling out of control with food?

Are decisions about the Atkins, South Beach, low fat, or Weight Watchers programs making you crazy?

Are you convinced that nothing works for you and it's time for weight loss surgery?

Free yourself from compulsive eating, finally, with the support and understanding of others struggling with the same problem. Food need not be your enemy or your constant companion. Make peace with food. Learn why it is the diets that have failed, not you.

  Work with Children and Parents
Becoming a parent can turn your life upside down. No matter what the age of your child, being a parent can evoke confusion and upsetting feelings in all parents. You do not have to suffer alone with this when help is available. Sometimes what may seem to be a worrisome problem really is not, and is a normal part of child development. Talking with a trained child therapist can soon help you gain perspective and feel more comfortable about your child's development. For your own peace of mind, it is always best to identify and address your concerns about your child early on, before they have the chance to develop into bigger problems. Smaller signs of childhood problems can appear very early on, and should be addressed then, in order to resolve them. Do not wait and hope it will be outgrown.

Whether your child is an infant, toddler, pre-school age child, or is in middle-school, high school, or college, each stage of childhood presents challenges and dilemmas for all parents. Adolescence can be especially difficult for both children and parents, even more now than when we were kids because there is so much in today's youth culture to be concerned about. No matter how grown up they look or act, adolescents are neither children nor adults, but are that difficult stage in between of becoming adults, a work in process. It is a time when a little help can go a long way.
